While students and staff enjoy a well-earned summer break, our facilities are staying busy! Across the district, construction crews have been hard at work making improvements to better serve our schools and community. These updates are part of our continued investment in Hudsonville’s future. Here’s a look at what’s taking shape this summer.
Storage Facility Building

In our last update, we shared the early stages of construction on the district’s new storage facility. The building is now fully framed, with metal siding and roofing being installed. This week’s milestones included the installation of the water line, and underground electrical is being placed to provide power and data to the facility. In the next two weeks, the concrete flooring will be poured. The project is expected to be completed in September.
New Stadium Scoreboard

The Hudsonville Eagles Stadium received an exciting upgrade this summer with the installation of a brand-new scoreboard on the north end of the field—one of the largest of its kind at any high school in the state! The massive screen measures approximately 40 feet wide by 22 feet tall, and its speaker system alone weighs 1,550 pounds. To support its size, the scoreboard’s foundations extend 17 feet into the ground. It arrived in three separate pieces and is currently in the final stages of installation, with electrical and data connections underway. Illuminated lettering will be added soon, and the scoreboard will be fully operational in time for the first home football game this fall!
These summer improvements are just one part of the ongoing commitment to providing high-quality facilities that support student success both inside and outside the classroom. From added storage to enhanced game-day experiences, each project plays a role in strengthening our schools and community. We’re excited to see these upgrades in action soon and look forward to sharing more progress along the way!
