Brick by Brick: Park Elementary's Story Continues

A lot of exciting projects have happened for Park Elementary School, and you can expect to see more this summer! Check out a construction update below to get caught up on the progress.

(Almost) Completed Spaces

A big milestone happened about two months ago when the temporary construction wall came down for the addition portion of the project. Since then, staff and students have started moving into the new spaces. These include:

• A new staff lounge (remodeled from an old classroom)

• New breakout spaces

• Updated bathrooms

• Two new CI classrooms

• A completely rebuilt library (the space used to be classrooms!)

Summer Projects

Now that spring projects are wrapping up, we’re jumping into a busy summer of more improvements. This summer at Park Elementary:

• Kindergarten classrooms are being remodeled. Walls have already come down to make both rooms larger.

• The parking lot is being redone to improve safety, traffic flow, and drop-off efficiency.

• Half of the roof will be replaced.

• New controls throughout the building will improve comfort and energy use.

• A new playground is also underway—something we’re especially excited for!
